We had a chance to catch up with a few of the stars of our limited edition Pet Heroes Sticker Pack in our app, Animal Face. This pack supports the ASPCA and rescue animals around the world. Read on for an inside look at these IG famous Pet Heroes! | | 1. How did you meet your pet / human? | | Burma Adventure Cat: In April 2013, my dog Puppi and I met a homeless girl with a box of kittens. When she handed me Burma I knew I was keeping him. He had never been indoors and was rugged and loved our on-the-go lifestyle from the start. He grew up in our Jeep, in the mountains, and the deserts. | | Raven & Woodhouse: We met Raven when we picked her up from the airport. We had her for about two weeks before we decided it was time to get her a buddy, so we took her to the local shelter to meet some kittens. There were only four kittens -- Woodhouse was the first, and the two hit it off instantly! | | 2. Any photography or social media tips for new pet accounts? | | Burma: Just be authentic and genuine. Accounts grow slowly so it's best to be in it for yourself and just enjoy sharing without expectations. | | R & W: It helps to have either an unusual looking (or beautiful) pet and a story to go along with them. In my case, my story is friendship. | | 3. What inspired you to start an IG account for your pet(s)? | | Burma: When Burma started going everywhere with us he really made my pics unique, so I decided to change my handle to @burmaadventurecat and dedicate my feed to him! | | R & W: I posted a picture of the two of them on Reddit r/aww and it got over 3.5 million views with thousands of comments. A couple months later I posted another picture and the same thing happened again. I decided from the overwhelming response that they needed their own IG account. | | 4. How has your pet / human changed your life? | | Burma: When I got Burma, I was depressed and trying to cope with being homeless. Burma changed the way I thought about my situation and he gave me a new life. I feel he was destined to be with me. Perhaps he even saved my life. Animals can do that for us. | | R & W: Because I don't have kids yet, these two are my kids. They're not just pets, they're members of the family. I would run into a burning building and risk my life to save them! I can't imagine my life without them. | | Tune in next month when we catch up with some other Pet Heroes from our limited edition Sticker Pack for Animal Face.
