This week we caught up with @jothsnard. He has created some of our favorite recent Fused edits so we wanted to get a better idea of the artist behind the edits. Our chat is transcribed below. Enjoy! | | An aspiring photographer, designer, food lover, travel addict, and multimedia student from India. | | Everything inspires me, but nature is what inspires me most. I also take inspiration from graphic patterns. | | How does that inspiration influence your art? | | Most of my edits are grounded in nature -- a leaf, a tree, street art. I don't have any set rules or protocol for translating my inspiration into art, but I do try to use my edits to recreate how my subject made me feel or think. Most of the time, how I edit is simply what comes to my mind in the moment. | | What apps do you use to create your edits? | | iPhone is my workspace! I use Fused, Split Pic, Font Candy, VSCO, Tiny Planet, Photo Candy, and Instagram. I'm always on my phone. People usually think I'm chatting, but that's not usually the case :P Fused is what changed my way of editing. Mobile cameras don't have the double exposure feature so Fused helps editors like me achieve that. I am still truly amazed at what can be created using Fused. | | You take great photos. What do you look for when you're shooting? | | Thanks a lot! When I'm editing or shooting I don't have any set of rules that I abide by. I'm an amateur -- I mostly point and shoot. I'm learning photography gradually through consistent practice. Now that I'm familiar with the power of Fused, I'm always analyzing my exposure when I shoot. | | Any advice for people looking to get into mobile photography (or photography in general)? | | Don't think about being a professional photographer or think that you need a professional camera. The only thing you need to take a picture is passion for capturing a moment. Passion is the driving factor that helps me improve. Just grab your mobile or camera and click and edit. Editing with Fused will surely help you think outside the box, but the most important thing is to get out and shoot. | | We hope you enjoyed our chat with @jothsnard. Be sure to check out his work and give him some IG love! Are you doing something interesting? Looking to get your name out there? We're looking for creative people to continue this series. Hit us up hello@easytigerapps.com with the subject "Interview me!" and tell us about your creative outlet. | | | | |
