Clarification regarding taxpayer information request

Yesterday, you may have received an email or text message requesting your taxpayer information. We wanted to clarify that this action is not required for everyone.

If you're not hosting
There's no action necessary at this time.
If you're an active US Host or host a US listing
Your taxpayer information is required. If we don't receive this information soon, your calendar will be blocked for future reservations and future payouts may be paused.
If you're a non-US Host
We strongly recommend that Hosts submit their taxpayer information where applicable, so Airbnb can provide them with the most accurate tax documentation.
