3. Write the book you want to read.

Take the picture you want to see. Film the movie you want to watch. Make the edit that you think is dope.

It's a simple philosophy. No matter what you make, if you stay true your creative tastes, you'll have at least one fan -- yourself. And at the end of day, the only thing that really matters is your happiness and your satisfaction with your work.

Forget the people who don't care. Forget the people who don't take the time to understand. You'll never please them all, but if you stay true to your art and embrace your creativity, the followers will come. It's inevitable.
